POSITION OVERVIEW
The Case Manager plays a vital role in implementing, managing, and supporting Seattle Angels’ programs: Love Box and Dare to Dream. This individual will build relationships directly with volunteers, youth and caregivers in the foster care community, and partnering agencies to ensure program participants receive consistent, high-quality support. The ideal candidate exudes our five core competencies: Professionalism, Passion, Initiative, Adaptability and Positivity.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and Develop Meaningful Relationships:
Match families and youth with volunteers who can holistically meet their needs. Support and coach volunteers to develop trauma-informed, trust-based relationships with their matched foster families and youth. Maintain ongoing contact with all families, youth and volunteers on caseload to offer relevant resources and troubleshoot any challenges within the match. 

Support with Integrity and Respect:
Track match history, monitor impact, and maintain up to date documentation in our database, Apricot 360. Protect confidentiality of all participants and ensure needs are met with timeliness and intentionality. Utilize various programs, including Apricot 360 Social Solutions, Gmail, Google Drive, Slack, and Zoom. 
Educate and Hold Space for Healing Conversations: Engage confidently and compassionately in discussions around trauma, mental health, child welfare, and family dynamics. Use these insights to advocate and make decisions that serve the best interests of those you support.
Partner with Community Agencies:
Cultivate trusted relationships with DCYF, CPAs, and other community providers. Serve as a liaison to ensure aligned, collaborative, wraparound support for families and youth.

Engage and Grow the Volunteer Base:
Represent the mission in the community with confidence and clarity. Share the vision in one-on-one conversations, formal presentations, and networking events, inviting others to contribute through volunteering, donating, or partnering.

Embody the Mission:
Treat every child, family, volunteer, and community partner with dignity. Reflect the core values of Seattle Angels in all interactions, empowering each person to thrive.

Capture and Share Impact:
Share stories, photos, and updates with the Marketing team to amplify the mission and highlight lives being transformed.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • An individual that is known for listening well, communicating with clarity, and creating spaces where people feel seen, respected, and free to be themselves.
  • A highly skilled communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to build trust quickly; a self-starter who works independently and manages multiple tasks efficiently.

WORK CONTEXT
This position is hybrid and will require a mixture of working at home and in office, traveling to family/youth homes, training, agency locations, and/or outreach events. Case managers participate in weekly staff meetings at the Seattle Angels office in Redmond, WA. This position requires flexibility with work hours to accommodate the varying needs and schedules of the families we serve. New hires will travel to Austin, TX to complete a 3 day training with the National Angels Program Trainer. 

REQUIRED

  • Personal car, valid driver’s license, and insurance​
  • Ability to pass state and Federal background checks
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s Degree and 2+ years of related experience, or​​ 
  • Bachelor's Degree and 1 + year of related experience, or
  • Master’s Degree and 6+ months of related experience.
​A background in social services or related fields is preferred but not required.
