ELLIE SANDERS
People enthusiast, older sister, lover of all things art and expression, plant mom, and most likely to spend hours in an antique store.
Likes: lifting, thrifting, dancing in her bedroom, admiring the architecture of old European churches, learning new city transit systems, plants, and making sourdough
Dislikes: driving in DC, slow walkers on public transit, her middle school yearbook, cilantro, and overpriced food
Going into her last years of college, Ellie has committed herself to giving back to her many student, social, and athletic communities. Working as a multicultural peer mentor at her university has allowed her to connect with diverse students, hear their stories, and help facilitate the college transition. Last summer, she worked in the non-profit sector, learning the ins and outs of fundraising and improving her interpersonal skills. As a previous foster kid, Ellie has a great appreciation for strong support systems and understands the importance of advocacy and community for those youth. Ellie is known for being a loyal friend, quick wit, and adaptable, traits that have helped her begin building her career.
Ellie has three homes: Madison, Wisconsin, Washington, DC, and, currently, Paris. She is a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying Business Management and Political Science (Pre-Law). In college, she is a Posse Scholar, a Multi-Cultural Promise Program Mentor, and a student athlete. She is also a dog mom of the cutest baby boy, Remi.
