JoAnn Andro
Wife, girl mom, loyal friend, world traveler, and connector of people
Likes: Cooking new recipes, hosting parties and gatherings, family time, sightseeing, working out, studying the Bible, and public speaking
Dislikes: Bullying, procrastination, cauliflower, and gossip
JoAnn grew up in Arizona where she attended ASU and pursued her dream of social work. Volunteerism has always been a part of her life, with her most recent experience over the last decade, as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in foster care. She has worked in several capacities over the span in her career with children and youth. Equipping children and youth for a healthy adulthood has been a lifelong goal. She has worked in youth employment for the City of Tempe (AZ) and founded the program for the City of Scottsdale (AZ). JoAnn served as the founder and director of the state’s largest child care center in Arizona serving hundreds of children and youth. Most recently, she worked directly with youth throughout the state of WA as a college representative, motivating youth to pursue their passion in their career path.
On a personal note, she has been married to a kind, compassionate and very supportive husband for 39 years and they have 3 beautiful daughters, one of which is married to a great guy serving our country in the Navy. They have been empty nesters for a year now and starting to get used to the quiet space. JoAnn has traveled all over the world with her previous job. One trip in particular was meaningful, in that she had the opportunity to visit Greece, connect with her ancestry and meet a few of her relatives.
JoAnn joined the Seattle Angels team in January of 2021. She enjoys building relationships with her foster families and volunteers and uses her experience and training to equip volunteers, conduct trainings, and use public speaking and procurement skills to grow awareness of our organization.
