Joe was born and raised in Edmonds, WA and enjoyed summers on Lake Goodwin with family and friends. After graduating from Pacific Lutheran University, Joe began his non-profit career working for the youth sports club he grew up participating in as a child in South Snohomish County. After six years leading Sno-King Youth Club he joined Special Olympics Washington as a regional manager and quickly became a leader as Vice President and advocate in the inclusion revolution for the organization on a local, national and international level. Joe’s passion for investing in community, inclusion and opportunity for all people drove his ambition to expand and scale programming over a 15 year span. In 2018, Joe left Special Olympics Washington to join the soccer club he helped start when he was with Sno-King Youth Club early in his career, leading it through difficult times.
Joe and his wife, Erin, enjoy living in Edmonds and can be found walking and crabbing off water-front with the family in their free-time.
