MARIANNE WONG
The fun aunt of three nieces, five nephews and a schnoodle, daughter, sister, faithful friend and lover of people (despite being an introvert)
Likes: Coffee, baking, puzzles, cleaning, writing letters, stickers, serving others, having a meal with new/old friends
and/or family, and road trips
Dislikes: Stinky cheese, flat tires, traffic, and gardening
Marianne believes no experience is wasted, as evidenced in the twists and turns which have led her to Seattle Angels. A month before graduating from college, an unexpected tragedy occurred and changed her life trajectory. Instead of continuing on a track towards physical therapy, she took a summer internship working with youth and never looked back. This turned into over two decades of nonprofit work and a majority of this time in fundraising development for young people. Marianne has had the privilege of working with youth and young adults in the areas of afterschool programming, late night drop-in center, high school for at-risk youth, youth leadership, mentoring, out-of-school time, foster care and homes (internationally), alternatives to incarceration and advocacy.
Seattle Angels have already accomplished a great deal and are serving families WELL! Marianne will bring her development experience and connections to support this flourishing team.
