Marina plumbCaretaker, cautious optimist, adventure seeker, relationship lover, first generation graduate, advocate.
Likes: tacos, campervan road trips, window shopping for homes, arts and crafts, cozy coffee shops, music festivals, getting to know someone new, quality time, being silly with her niece who she lovingly calls Boogie Dislikes: greed, small talk, injustice, and black licorice Marina was born and raised in the greater Seattle area and has one sister (3 years younger) and one brother (21 years younger). She graduated from University of Washington Bothell with a Bachelors in Community Psychology and minors in Diversity Studies and Health Studies. Three months after graduating, Marina joined Seattle Angels as an intern where she fell in love with the fostering community and the mission of the organization. She transitioned from intern to full-time Case Manager in January 2022. Before coming to Seattle Angels, she spent 10+ years as a professional nanny. She enjoyed supporting children’s developmental milestones through play and being there alongside parents during the more challenging parts of parenting. Through school, she learned that she wanted to take her love for familial relationships into case management to support underserved populations. Marina is passionate about supporting families of all forms, equitability, advocacy, and prevention work. She believes strongly in the power of community. Marina now lives in Lynnwood, WA with her husband and their Old English Bulldog pup, Nellie. She and her husband eloped in August 2020 and are celebrating 10 years together in February 2022. When not working, you can find her listening to audiobooks, dreaming up home projects, planning her next vacation, spending time with loved ones, or cuddled up watching movies with her husband and pup. |
