Merek Mecham
People person, music lover, a friend to all, nature admirer, most at peace playing an old record with some incense burning
Likes: Warm weather, healthy food, all types of fruits, introspective books, learning something new
Dislikes: Black licorice, sardines, getting splashed by a puddle while walking, shin splints
Merek was born in Atlanta, GA, where he spent his younger years before moving to Washington state. After completing high school, he attended University of Washington and obtained a degree in Public Health. Before joining Seattle Angles in November 2025, Merek spent several years serving the community as a case manager, helping families obtain permanent housing. Merek connected deeply with Seattle Angels mission to provide trauma-informed, relationship-first support to the foster families in our communities. Merek believes genuine connection, consistent support, and allowing individuals to be seen and heard will make a life-changing impact.
When Merek is not working, his days are filled up with him making music, spending time with family, or enjoying a thought-provoking book. When the weather allows, you may find him on a trail training for a marathon.
