Purpose-driven, adoptive parent, critical thinker, voracious reader, homesteader at heart, financial literacy nut
Likes: Big storms, public libraries, authenticity, historical reality tv shows, reading books in the bath, stupidly-cold beer in a bottle, dirt under my nails
Dislikes: Financial fogginess, culture of waste, cycles of poverty, low standards for children, cellphones, sterile environments
Morgan is fueled by the potential for social change. Working alongside kids and families in the foster system for 17 years has led her to Angels. She believes with her full self that wrapping community around youth is our best chance at improving outcomes like homelessness and incarceration. She dreams of a world in which we treat kids in care like our own, setting standards for their wellbeing that mimic our dreams for our own families.
Morgan has a heart for adoptive and foster caregivers, knowing that this work is essential to our entire community and deserves respect and support. She believes there is strength in numbers and that by slowing down and making space, together we can provide the healing relationships kids deserve.
She has worked a variety of jobs in her life ranging from bookmobile librarian to pastured poultry farmer to youth advocate. But she has found that she is most at home in the back of a Red Cross mobile feeding truck, breaking apart pudding packs to feed folks after a hurricane.
